Eric Farber is a New York City-based musician and the co-founder of the music streaming platform Nina Protocol. Since launching a few years back, Nina has helped independent artists share and monetize their work – it’s the only platform where artists keep 100% of their earnings. It’s a sick project and one of our favorite independent voices in music; their editorial content and curation have helped me discover tons of my current favorite artists. Eric is also a songwriter himself (check it out on Nina), and he’s gearing up to release his upcoming record, No Chorus. Lucky for us, Eric’s here to tell us what he’s been into.

Refreshing, crisp, nice to share, what more could you want? Bonus points cos it has a little witch on the bottle that reminds me of the Dead Moon logo.

I haven't rocked this since highschool and am revisiting it now. It hits harder after being in love a couple times. It’s sentimental and corny but also vulgar and cruel. It’s much sadder than I remembered. I used to think “Why didnt you just write 33 really good songs” but now I understand that there will never be enough love songs. ‘I Don't Wanna Get Over You” is a beautiful song about agonizing yourself. ‘Let's Pretend We’re Bunny Rabbits” is a wonderful tune about having a relentless erection.

This is an extremely rare youtube video from 11 years ago. I love an old youtube, fine wine type shit. It's a video of Gobby playing on a truck driving around Williamsburg when drummers ruled the world. Good document of his virtuoso savant era. All time signatures and math and the wind in his hair. This was a “you had to be there” era.
