Jordana is a Maryland-raised and Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter. Since making her debut at age of 18 with the record Classical Notions of Happiness, she’s built a genre-surfing discography that ranges from bedroom pop to indie rock, and more recently, a folky “yacht rock” sound. She’s also hit some pretty wicked collaborations with musicians like Magdalena Bay and TV Girl. Her newest album, Lively Premonition, comes after a big move from NYC to LA (which you can hear), and you can check it out here. Early next year, you can catch her on her US Tour (be sure to grab your tickets here.) Lucky for us, Jordana’s here to tell us what she's been into.

I have a chihuahua named Ducky. He is the greatest thing to ever happen to my quality of life. He is my best friend in the world and I love him. Everyone who has met him says he’s the most well behaved chihuahua they’ve ever met…and they’re right!

Silent Hill 2 OST is my favorite soundtrack of any game I’ve ever played. It has everything you need from ambient to breakbeat to distorted rock to just straight up unsettling af. It rules. Every revisit, I have a new favorite track.

I love video games. My favorites include Bioshock, Borderlands, Fallout, Left4Dead, Life is Strange, Silent Hill, etc.. I just got the exact same DS after losing the one I had years ago. Very happy to report I’m back on my PetzBunnyz grind.

Gumby is a childhood favorite show. When I started touring, I found a Gumby figurine in Milwaukee and started bringing it on stage when I performed. I still try to bring it up every show! I even have a fan club card to local showings of the episodes in LA. Shoutout @gumbycentral

I’ve been a vegan for nearly 10 years. I honestly can’t imagine not being a vegan now. Especially in LA, there are usually at least one or two vegan options found at most restaurants. Mommy likey. (Millie’s — “Vegan Mess”)

I am a self diagnosed Pool Shark (occasional amateur without practice). I love to shoot some billiards with my bandmates in the spare time we have on tour, as well as at home with friends.

I’m not sure how many people would agree with this, but stale snacks rock. Most of the time, I will leave a bag of popcorn open to make the rest of it stale. I love the consistency of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m one of those people who rewatches comfort films and quotes every word while I’m watching. If that annoys you, don’t ever let me show you these — I will be incredibly insufferable. You should watch these tho…with or without me.

I advise if you don’t wear sunscreen to start wearing it now. I’ve made sunscreen a priority every single day — it’s apart of the morning skincare routine, I keep a body sunscreen in the car, etc. It takes 20 seconds to apply it, so just do it! It’s worth it.

get yourself a little treat every day. At least one. You could die tomorrow, so just do it.
🍼
Get a ginormous reusable thermos with a sippy straw if you have an issue with hydration like I do. It will change your life. It’s like a binky for me now. It makes drinking water more enticing.

I go to this restaurant very often. One week it was three days in a row... My order is their Dan Dan Noodles, vegan mapo tofu, plain scallion pancake, passion fruit iced green tea, hakka mochi.
