Kelly Lee Owens is a London-based musician and producer. Active in the electronic scene since 2017, Kelly’s built up an impressive discography and worked with legends like Björk + John Cale (PI #350). I first fell in love with her blend of minimal house and art pop techno back in 2020 with the release of Inner Song, and I've been eagerly awaiting Dreamstate which came out on October 18th and sees her leaning into a more trance direction- and it goes hard. She’s had a big year, performing at the Charli XCX (PI #233) Partygirl Ibiza takeover, Glastonbury Festival, MoMa, Public Records, and most recently, as part of Boiler Room’s takeover of Manchester's Warehouse project. If you missed those, she has a UK/Europe tour coming up soon. Lucky for us, Kelly’s here to tell us what she’s been into.

This film is a masterpiece. An observation of the beauty and pain of being a human.  It also ultimately inspired me to go from black and white to colour on my album covers, just as the film does eventually

One of my favourite paintings ever. So much mystery and magic. I first saw this in person at Peggy Gugenheims museum in Venice
