Flowers of Evil is part of a genre of manga/anime that they don’t export to the US much anymore. The books and the series were compelling but also uncomfortable.
Rereading this manga and it got me fked up again. Shūzō Oshimi is really good at conveying feelings of growing up, finding a sense of belonging, and what it means to be a part of society. Really suggest reading if you’re into stuff that makes you question life

I saw a recommendation earlier for The Flowers of Evil by the same creator and decided to check out his other work. I'm glad I did because Happiness is a fantastic Vampire story. Full of angst and gore. Characters afflicted with vampirism act as if they are truly cursed and wrestle with whether they should be even allowed to live.

This is a 12 volume manga by Inio Asano. I'm not a big manga reader & consider myself highly selective. This was one of the best & most beautiful series I've ever read. A love letter to imageboard culture alongside exploration of diverse human responses to horrific circumstances that can't be understood even as they happen to you and those you love. Sympathy, empathy, pity. Aliens and teen girls trying to cope. I believe it's getting an anime adaptation soon, which I hope will be well done and impactful. I don't know, it just really stuck with me.

It has nostalgia for wide variety of people for different reasons, it’s easy to sing in your range, it’s not too long, and it works as a duet.

These are dairy-free too. People may be surprised how many spicy chips in the US use milk
just to feel something!! Absolutely delectable and I’ll be hiccuping in seconds but that won’t stop me from this perfect snack
