When you want to fuck the Queen so bad you freak out and show her how good you can run a nunnery. One of the three books that contains a character I identify with. Blah blah blah mean lesbians free yourself from tropes and memetic stereotypes. Dykes are people. Women can be hard. And this is a story about people, some of who are 12th century dykes.
by antonia angress, it’s a gorgeous contemporary novel about academia, the messiness of artists trying to survive, and thinks about loneliness openly in a way i haven’t seen before in a novel like this. also, a queer romance plotline :)
I'm recommending this one specifically because it helped me really get back into reading after years of neglecting my literacy.
Super fun vampire novel about growing up, womanhood, family, art, and being true to yourself despite the consequences.
Okay first of all it’s a dark leafy green that you don’t have to chop or cook at all & secondly it’s so delicious and robust and kind of peppery you can literally add it to anything and its so fresh and vibrant and fab
Just in your notes app or whatever. It scratches the same itch as making the purchase. And then you have the whole list there to consult when you have extra money to buy something fun - but the cool thing is if you let the list sit there for a whole you usually dont even want the thing anymore. And then if time passes and you still want it it feels more worth it! Honestly get it out of your mind and on a note and it interrupts the shopping cycle.
