I was browsing the calendar app yesterday and realized how quickly Fat Tuesday is approaching (March 4th). I haven’t been a practicing catholic since I was around 12yrs old, but I still do lent every year because it teaches me a lot about myself and it feels good to work on accomplishing a goal along with other people. It helps keep me accountable! In high school I chewed so much gum that it made my jaw ache. I gave it up for lent one year and now it’s so rare for me to chew a piece of gum. That’s so cool to me! Typically, I give up one of my eternal loves: ice cream or Coke. However, this year I’m facing my fears and giving up my true vice… weed. My family usually does lent on lazy mode (we let ourselves have whatever it is we gave up on Sundays), but this year I’m going hard mode just to see what I can achieve.

the original dry january! i'm not a practicing christian and haven't done lent since i was like 10 but i decided to try out lent this year just to see if i could give up something trivial for a while. i have a major sweet tooth so i decided to give up candy. im excited to see how i do and its kind of fun to microdose catholicism after being off the horse for while. try it out with something you really like but can also realistically live without (sweets, fast food, screen time, texting boys, etc.)

This challenge is called EXPIRATION eating. 1) Go buy a fuck ton of ONE fast junky food you really want to eat 2) check the expiration ie: ice cream that expires 3 years from the day you bought it 3) get jacked and eat healthy foods only for two years and 364 days 4) eat the ice cream hours before it expires 5) the dopamine rush will feel like (Lebron 2016 Buzzer beater x smoking moon rocks for the first time)^3

I am always so thankful to have a little metal nail file with me wherever I go. I used to be a chronic nail biter. One chipped fingernail would send me into a frenzy, and I would have to nibble away at what was left until the nail felt even. This would inevitably result in me biting the rest of my nails too. I know at least one of you can relate!? Carrying a nail file helps me avoid slipping up and chewing all of my nails to the quick. Sometimes I worry that it’s rude to be like filing away at my nails in public? But I also don’t care and even think it’s kind of sassy.

This has been my favorite since I was a kid. I don’t remember picking it, it’s just always been IT for me. Everything about this color is so joyful and kind to me. There’s something so smooth and round about it. I want to bathe in it! Both of my bedrooms at my mom’s and dad’s houses growing up were painted yellow at my request. However, I don’t really own any clothes this color, and I think it looks bad on me. I have a ton of yellow things in my apartment though. I have not met many fellow yellow fans, but I’ll always stand by it. Also, Timmy Chalamet wore butter yellow to the Oscars yesterday. He’s my favorite actor and #1 celeb crush, so it was a huge night for me.
