Recently watched the wind rises with my siblings and I really enjoyed it!! Was wondering if there’s any other underrated ghibli movies that people adore + why! Reasons why you should watch the wind rises: - one of the few movies based off of a true story (with a few fantastical twists obv) - surprisingly adult? Takes place in WWII imperial Japan and deals with everything from propaganda and compliance to tragic love stories - THE ROMANCE. - THE ANIMATION??? just watch it blind if you haven’t already - the mc’s voice actor is Hideaki Anno (The creator of eva LMAO) - far from perfect but a beautiful exploration of Miyazaki’s troubled mind lol
