I don't get what my deal is but I have tried to sit down and watch comedy specials at home and maybe 90% of what I see comes off as too exaggerated or shouty. It seems like delivery is thrown out the window and the fallback for a lot of standup specials is just scream and make extreme facial/body language on stage, audience laugh, we all re-enter the cycle. Something about the extremity in delivery now makes me think that a lot of specials are recorded and packaged up for content creation purposes like short form video (probably true) I don't have a problem with good standup specials/comedians live but wanted to litmus test my thoughts and see if anyone has noticed, if so, any comedians you like that do something a little different?
