do you believe they are connected somehow? do you ever seem to dream in snippets of semi-reality? for example, often i'll be going about my day and i'll do something entirely ordinary, boring, etc. i was microwaving something the other day, and recalled that i had a dream where i did the same exact thing. now, was this deja vu? or did i really dream it? i think i dreamt it, i really do. but examples like that, i'll be doing something totally random and mundane and immediately recall "i dreamt doing this". am i experiencing deja vu? did i do the same task in an alternate universe i visit when i enter sleep? and let's say it's deja vu..... is deja vu a glimpse into another reality, a similar but alternate reality?
