we’re in an especially scary and intense moment historically. not just in the US where i’m based, but all over the world. i have been radicalized and had my consciousness raised over and over, because that’s part of the journey of being a person. the space i tend to occupy is the arts and culture sector, specifically around labor rights and disability / accessibility in the arts. it was giving a tour to a group of elderly museum visitors and becoming attuned to their needs at my first museum job that opened me up to the lack of accommodations in these spaces. in turn, this led me to wanting to learn and make material & impactful changes in the museum and gallery world, working with disabled artists and audiences from a variety of backgrounds. so with that, what’s on your mind? what radicalized you and how are you taking action?
