Share one or many! I’ll go first. Sufjan Stevens @ Red Rocks - A full moon, also a rainbow, also thunderstorm in distance? All while Sufjan plays? Pretty cool. Seu Jorge @ The Pageant — Singing all of the Portuguese David Bowie covers he sang in The Life Aquatic. A large Brazilian population showed up and it was magical to hear them sing along in Portuguese. The Microphones w/ Florist @ Thalia Hall — Just getting to see Phil play in general was a Bucket List item, but Florist also opened? And Al was with me? All in Chicago! Such a delight. Avett Brothers @ The Pabst — Saw The Avett Brothers play back when Emotionalism was their latest record. It was small and quaint and they played their folk music like a gd punk band. One person just kept re-stringing instruments because they kept breaking them on guitars and banjos. The Mountain Goats @ Off Broadway — John Darnielle had injured his back, so he had to play seated. He asked that everyone sit on the floor so he was more visible and it was a delight! Like a campfire sing-a-long with a really talented artist.
