ThugPop (also known as Christen Mooney) is a musician and creative based “Within the Ether”, whose talents also extend into the fashion world, serving as both a stylist and muse for Hood by Air and appearing in a campaign for Jean Paul Gautier x Lotta Volkova. Earlier this year, ThugPop featured on Kelela’s RAVE:N, The Remixes album. Since then, they’ve released their mixtape blast., and you can check it out here. This place might be a ghetto self service studio for independent artists. However this place has held me down during my recording process. Thank god for my collaborator Max Rewak for being the best, most patient engineer on earth, we finished my ep “Pinch” at Pirate and recorded some of the tracks for “blast” here.

Every bad bitch has groceries. It’s the IT Girl pass to be brutally honest. Free food? Are you kidding me? If you’ve never seen a glamorous person pull out an EBT card I’m not sure if I feel comfortable hanging around you or the next person. I’m just fortunate enough to qualify, with me being an emerging artist and all. One has to equip themselves with a full arsenal.

My style is at an all time high due to the fact I am currently single and have a lot of time to focus on me, myself, and I. I also live down the street from the location on classon which is run by these brilliant Puerto Rican women who wash everything in the store and take no shit. They never give me anything off and they’re so passive aggressive if you’re in the store pass closing. I love it. I have a whole process when sourcing vintage. Everything I wear has come from this store! The prices are super cute
