URIKA'S BEDROOM

Urika’s Bedroom is a Los Angeles-based experimental musician. I first discovered them when tour dates with PI faves Chanel Beads and Nourished by Time were announced, and the single “XTC” immediately caught my attention. Coming from a DIY-music background, and having produced for untitled (halo), it’s no surprise their debut album Big Smile, Black Mire is a front-to-back killer. The album is hard to pin down, a mix of alternative, emo-adjacent, slowcore, and trip-hop– basically all of the things we really like (check out my favorite track). This Friday, Perfectly Imperfect and You Missed It are throwing a Urika’s Bedroom show at Baby’s All Right, featuring a stacked lineup with live sets from Comet and Holidays in United States, and DJ sets by Chanel Beads, Kassie Krut, and Quiet Light, and you can find your tickets here.
