My dentist’s office is in midtown between On Stage Dancewear (a tiny bitchy ballet store) and the Morgan Library (the best museum in NY after the Neue Galerie). After the dentist I treat myself to a visit to Morgan Library and a new flimsy Bullet Point Skirt. They come in colorways like Cappucino, Meadow and Cloud. I wear them with my Hommegirl’s tube socks and Tods.

My style continues to waver between figure skating queen / haunted doll / tragic ballerina. White tights are my staple accessory that works for any of these. Bonus points if they’re a little dingy and ripped.

Between New York's brutal cold front and battling the flu, I've barely left my apartment this month. So I decided to get dressed up on Saturday even though we stayed in to make chili and play Scrabble. C gifted me a nice sweater (Oscar de la Renta!) for my 31st that I wanted to sport with some fancy pants I thrifted in Omaha a couple months back (I've been into dressy slacks lately and, overall, have been trying to class it up a couple notches).
I play dress up all the time with C, trying on new fits and unexpected combos from our overflowing dressers/closets. I own more pants than I've ever owned (maybe 15) so the permutations are truly endless.

Give me Le Happy and lavender hair and tattoo chokers and built up platform converse before they started making them for real. Catch me wearing all black crop tank top and maxi skirt with four inch platforms and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in frosty blue to my 9AM calculus class!

Listen to me. I have spent years looking for the perfect 501 type light wash denim. I have dumped money down the drain. I've texted ex-boyfriends begging them for their cast-offs. And then? These Thalo jeans. The girlies behind Thalo remade 501s with more butt/thigh room, giving that perfect straight leg but perky butt situation. I have two pairs and since I got them I've worn them every single damn day without fail. I love you perfect Thalo jeans. I LOVE YOU!
