Continuing off of my last outdoor apparel rec through the GO OUT magazine, I still can't stop myself from browsing outdoor apparel. Especially fleeces, vests, puffers, pants with excessive pockets, etc. Some of these pieces are super hard to come by in the US. Personally, I feel like I've been trapped inside outdoor brand bubble that consists of Arcāteryx, Patagonia, North Face, FjƤllrƤven, etc. Recently, I've discovered This Thing of Ours, a UK based retailer that curates different brands around the world. They pride themselves in having more low-key brands and browsing through their Coats & Jackets section, the catalog speaks for itself.

I've been a big fan of basically everything Outdoor Voices (OV) has dropped. I've actually recommended my favorite shorts from OV in our first ever post. Asides from the shorts, I'm always here for their cozy fall pieces from the Outdoors Collection. I appreciate the fun colors and drive for comfort, and I'm here for it. This year's drop did not disappoint. All of the fleeces they've dropped has been on point, and they're unisex. I recently got the Primo Fleece Vest and it's one of my fall favorites when layered with a long sleeve.

This brand is super dope, in a nutshell, they de-construct old GORE-TEX pieces from Arcteryx, North Face, etc. and upcycle them back into super dope gear. Arcteryx usually has these really interesting and bright shell colors, and I love that Greater Goods takes all these different colors and frankenstein them together to produce these really nice patchwork jackets. I think my favorite piece from them is when they turned these old shells into a kimono, and itās a really interesting look. Since their brand revolves around reusability, they use leftover pieces from the jackets to make side-bags and water-bottle bags.

Japanās Hiroshi Nozawa is a nature-loving design savant who made his name cuttinā clothes for such tiny, unheard-of brands as uhhh Snow Peak, Fjallraven, and Columbia. Heās since hung out his own shingle with Norbit, a line designed around notions of āhybridity,ā aka, garments that fit both outdoors and urban contexts. I interviewed him for last springās edition of eyeC (linky) and was so impressed by the craft that goes into every Norbit garm. Follow them on IG, then save thine pennies to cop pure rockstar shit like the brandās overdetailed Field Jacket.

Iāve never been to Disney as a kid and as I grew older I always felt like I was too old for it. I spontaneously tagged along with my family the day before they left and I think that was the best decision Iāve ever made. Iām a huge fan of Star Wars and Avatar, and even as an adult I think I had the best week of my life and I felt like a kid again. I legitimately had real tears of joy on some of the rides. Itās never too late!

While everyone is raving about their trendy nonstick pans, Iām here to bring the spotlight back to cast iron cookware. Thereās a huge stigma around how hard it is to take care of cast irons, but itās really not bad! You just gotta keep using it, and over time, it basically becomes nonstick. This article has sent off a tangent, and now I am a proud owner of a well-seasoned cast iron pan and griddle.

Antique shops have a special place in my heart because it reminds me of my childhood road trips. When I was little, I always thought antique shops were just useless junk. As I grew older, Iāve learned to appreciate the ājunkā a bit more. Browsing through the aisles, they kind of feel like a time machine. My top things to look out for are vintage cameras, dutch ovens, and vintage porcelain.
