The women in my family have a longtime fear of the evil eye - a superstition that there is evil watching and waiting to take fortunes away from us. To ward it off, my mother would pair gratitude with the redaction of it. The idea was to confuse the evil eye so it wouldn’t know what to take from us. When I asked her if the evil eye was real, she told me that evil is real. The form doesn’t matter. What matters is staying vigilant around the things you care about. When you love something, remind yourself to protect it.

Fuckkkk ❌❌ just remembered that one month ago I hear someone saying to beware of crystals, I become suspicious that my rose quartz crystal (supposedly harnesses love, bought with a dear friend at an exhibition summer before last) was unholy and maybe could be a vessel for something demonic and so ventured out into the night and THREW IT DOWN THE DRAIN IN THE STREET and not long after love life crashes and burns…
Stay superstitious guys and if not believing at least respectful of everything… Do not act recklessly as I did lest you cannot deny you may possibly have unleashed a curse on yourself….

Life is just more interesting if you believe in things. If you look at the lines on your palm and see the future, if you salute every magpie and wish them company soon, if you are terrified to smash a mirror, if you throw salt over your left shoulder, if you go to fortune teller machines and actually trust them (thereby trusting the forces of the universe). If you decide one day to believe in magic and the unexplainable, even if they're a bit silly, the world becomes fascinating, engaging and hilarious. I love being superstitious.

These disposable vapes are filled with nasty chemicals. I have asthma and I feel the ingredients powerfully. I could run a marathon while juuling. The deli vapes? I can’t even lay down and breathe. Stop using them. Juul takes the prize.
