Alexander McCall Smith blesses us with his imagination here with plentiful short stories designed around photos from the archive of The Sunday Times. A spiritual successor to his Chance Developments, where Smith wrote the stories not told behind vintage photographs, he continues this trend with imagination and an insane focus on the humanity (so well realized it can be shocking he thought it all up from some photos).
