Two of my all time favorite music groups on earth are Jockstrap and Black Country, New Road. Funny because they could not have more different sounds. Georgia Ellery, classically trained violinist and incredible singer and song-writer is in both groups- part of the BC,NR ensemble, and the mastermind and popstar of Jockstrap. She is everything. Insanely talented musician, so much range, super hot, truly the musician of our generation. If you haven't heard of either of these bands then you are seriously missing out, and while you're listening, do your due diligence and look into Georgia Ellery.

i thought that they would be more up my alley as they are a production-driven project and take a lot of electronic music influence, but they've never really clicked for me. i mostly just find them a bit eclectic in a disorganized way and the vocals don't really do it for me. folks rave about Jennifer B but i don't really hear what's up aside from it being unique and experimental in a lot of ways.
i'd put Tirzah in the same category too, just never been my cup of tea despite having a lot in common with music that i do enjoy.

In an appropriate context of course, but the taboo around salaries was born from concealing the fact that women and bipoc made less. Let's be transparent! It's important to benchmark our salaries so that we can make sure we are all getting paid what we deserve!!

My sibs and I are close but we have lots of age gaps and live in different places and have very different lives so we don’t always communicahe a lot. I've started to facetime them constantly to say hi. Sometimes they don't pick up but that is ok. As long as they do sometimes and I can see their face and say hi :)
