This is the perfect rubber store, a real no bs kinda place. There is definitely some real New York gangster shit going on here but everyone is so nice to me. I bought this fabric lined foam for $9 a yard and some neoprene I’m happy love this store

One of my favorite thrift stores in my neighborhood. I always end up leaving with an entirely new wardrobe, it’s so fucked up. Very good for shoes and accessories. The lady who runs the place eats caribbean food that she makes at home and it makes me jealous because it smells so yum-yum but I like to haggle prices with her. She’s very unfriendly to everyone besides me. I like that.

John Casey is a cute old Irish man who makes rubber stamps in the East Village (since the 70s I think). His shop is really small and there are hundreds of stamps to choose from, they also make custom stamps if you have something specific in mind. I went yesterday with will to get stamps for our wedding, and it was so much fun to browse through the collection <3

Count on Fantasy Explosion to unearth the New York City vernacular vintage of your faded memories. Count on An Honest Living ™ to invent it as it should have been. These high-quality limited-run garments celebrate the city’s familiar but niche institutions - OTB, Con Edison, Fung Wah, etc. I bought the cap celebrating the essential 1990s hip-hop club the Tunnel, and if anyone would like to sell me the Peter Luger coach’s jacket in XL, hit my DMs.
