In the morning I fill the water canister to the bolt, spoon the grounds into the filter, twist the top on, turn the stove to medium-low, and wait a few minutes. It’s methodical and simple and reminds me of Madrid.
makes really good coffee actually esp if u buy a grind made for the moka! and add boiling or hot water to the bottom chamber (sorry italians). plus it’s just really sweet looking and ritualistic :) not bitter at all unless you are doing it a bit wrong. i like feeling like i can keep on making something better and better!
It eliminates the onus of choice and leads you down musical rabbit holes free of the algorithm. I like college radio stations because there are no ads for tires or whatnot.
Quiet and startling and filmed entirely out of focus which sounds like it would be challenging but I found the blurriness so nice like a painting and the dialogue was so ordinary it felt like from another world
