last night, got together with some friends to watch the “films“ of Internet creator The Nostalgia Critic (as an aside anti-rec, awful awful awful), but to come up with off the wall bits turning this horrible content into Buster Keaton, MST3K style humor was delightful, more entertaining insyead of just watching something actively bad

it is objectively so bad, yet there is a part of me that cannot part from it, I have to rewatch it at least once a year, it is truly iconic.
and hey, I can definitely tell you all the reasons why it is bad, both the movies and the books, but I think one can enjoy a piece of bad media while realizing how wacky it is.

My favorite movie is Spring Breakers and I'm not ashamed of it. I make all my lovers watch it and they all hate it. Making people sit through an hour and a half of "Spring Break, y'all, Spring Break...." with Skrillex in the background is an incredible way to make enemies but also a good way to vibe check the people you let in your bed. House of Wax is excellent (Paris Hilton really makes it epic.) The Row with Lala Kent is another one I recommend. I can tell a lot about a person's capacity for empathy based on how they react to my terrible choices in movies. They gotta go if they can't vibe on my island of bad production and acting.
