The time has come to shout this from the rooftops. For those who have the option, this is the clearly superior method.
Iāve been doing this for years, and have evangelized within my circle. Most of my buddies who arenāt losers have acknowledged they do it as well. I shouldnāt even have to explain the benefits but for those doubtful or on the fence:
ā¢ No splash risk
ā¢ Donāt have to put the seat up/down (in fact, this layer of the seat with the hole in it, is completely unnecessary. If everyone sat down we could eliminate it altogether and make toilets simpler and easier to clean)
ā¢ In position for all occurrences
ā¢ Breaks a meaningless gender binary
ā¢ Itās comfortable
Itās just better. Sadly for dudes thereās still some stigma around this (āthis guy looks like he pees sitting downā is a misogynistic insult that pops up) or at the least standing is just a tough habit to break without feeling weird. And thereās still a time and place when that option comes in handy! Outdoors, outhouses or other gnarly public bathrooms, urinals. But at home?? Itās time to make the switch!
