Very pleased to be spending the rest of the year, and an undefined amount of 2024 back home in Arizona. Sometimes you get one too many skinned knees on the playground that is NYC and come to figure that the best respite is going rogue with the cacti & coyotes. Make tamales with your best friend’s grandmother. Watch the sunset over the Catalina Mountains.

I’m driving north and east on tuesday. where am i going? the northeast. a couple brief stops in New York and Vermont before i spend at least a week in New Hampshire in the pursuit of climbing frozen water. I’m excited, anxious, and eager to get going. I will begin organizing my clothing, equipment, cookware, and provisions tomorrow. I plan to break bread with my two best friends on saturday, and also introduce them to eachother for the first time. not that i’m worried i will be seeing them for the last time, but you never know and shit happens. i think i have written enough for right now. more soon. cheers.

I‘ve started to keep an assortment of different cigs all in one pack. Kinda fun to mix it up sometimes. What am I feeling tonight; Reading at Sovereign House? Hestia. Dancing at Home Sweet Home? Marlboro Light. Screening at The Roxy? Parliament.

I just finished assembling the tracklist for a mix cd I plan on gifting to a friend for Christmas- the first one I've committed to making in years. The process of sifting through your library to find a sense of cohesion while also channeling the taste profile of your recipient is hands down my favorite way of exercising my sonic sensibilities. CDs have become such a novelty in this day and age of streaming which makes gifting a personalized one that much more special (: Long Live The Mix!

Bonafide Classic. My family and I have watched every Christmas since I was tiny. Hilarious and heartfelt. Perhaps a wee bit overrated but who cares, we only do this once a year! Something about the 1940s Christmas aesthetic that really just gives me the warm and fuzzies.
