This came on while I was on the subway. The repetitive tones washed over me like waves and I found myself staring. I took in the space around me completely but also started to go deeper inward. A common thing people say about New York is that it can be a very lonely city. Youâre surrounded by people and yet sometimes you feel so invisible. I enjoy my solitude, but this trackâ10 minutes long, ambient and totally unexpectedâmade me sit with that feeling and examine it without judgement. The very act of listening to such a unique and profound piece of music on headphones is lonely. By definition. It reminded me that music is not just a thing to enjoy but something that can move you and guide you deeper. You probably have to be in the mood. It came on for me at the right time. But if you have the patience and need a moment to yourself to think and more importantly, feel, this track is for you. See what comes up
