i think im genuinely getting more stupid but these will now really genuinely affect me emotionally, a lot of them will make me cry. there seems to be a lot of sincerity behind all the stupid shit in the ones that were made before every character has to be so bitter and mean to each other (what i call the big bang theory effect). sometimes its good just to watch something

especially if you’re not feeling so hot, mentally and/or physically. i woke up today feeling yucky and heavy in my heart and body, but i just rewatched Love at First Sight (2023) on netflix and had a good cry and i’m feeling a little better now. it’s on days like today that i’m grateful romcoms exist! i used to call romcoms my guilty pleasure, but today i will declare that i unabashedly love romcoms!!!! they may be unrealistic at times, but in doing so, they remind you to believe in a world where love is everywhere, all the time (because it is) <3 if you have some fav romcoms, drop them in the comments! would love to watch them :)

So I just finished Normal People then rewatched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind back to back and let me tell you yes they both tore me to pieces and were so so good. But i did not watch them at a time in my life where it could’ve been a lot worse. And yea it might’ve been cathartic to sob my heart out (I did still cry don’t get me wrong but very polite tears), I think I’m glad I was spared the heavy hit bc it allowed me to appreciate the show/film on its own.

feels a bit sillier watching it as i get older as i myself am now detached from that weight you feel as a teenager, but it will always be my comfort movie, it takes me back to a good place

if it was good enough for you as a kid it's good enough for you now. major bonus points if it's raining lightly.
