Ever since I saw that interview of Colman Domingo talking about how he found his husband through the missed connections part of Craigslist it‘s become my nightly newsletter.
The concept alone is so inviting. The notion of someone in passing catching your eye or perhaps a fleeting encounter w/ a stranger, only to realize later that you didn’t catch their name.
So, you put out a post with no guarantee they’ll see it but you hope. Unaware if they even know what craigslist is, still you hope. The same way you hope that if they do, they reply. It’s beautiful really. To live is to interact. To hope is to know you‘re alive.
