I always want to read on the Subway, but most book have chapters that are too long. With poetry books I can read one poem at a time and check what station I’m on without ruining the flow. Also poetry is just great.
Instead of reaching for my phone in those spare 2 mins here and there when out & about, I have started carrying a paperback of poems in my coat pocket and reading a poem instead of opening some dumb app
