maybe to prove the bully in yourself that you’re better than you think, or to your boss who doesn’t see your value. i do most things exceptionally well when i’m trying to prove a point to myself or another who may doubt me. this isn’t my natural state, just a state i pursue when it’s necessary. if i operated at 100% all the time i would burnout too quickly.
