If you know me even the tiniest bit you know that I am shamelessly the biggest Coldplay fan. I know people wanna say they're cringe and i get it...but their early stuff..i'm talkin Parachutes, Rush of Blood to the Head, Even Viva La Vida goes so hard. Parachutes was the first CD I rented from the library when I was like 12 or 13 so they are just super nostalgic for me now. I did a cover of Yellow a couple years and recreated their iconic video for it and they tweeted about it! I lost my mind!!

It was 2010. My friends and I used to swap USBs full of .mp3 files (usually ripped from CDs we had borrowed at the library) and we were all curating these bloated itunes libraries on our parents desktop computers. I never listened to the radio so this album managed to pass me by. The first time I heard it, it was technically autumn but in every experiential sense it was winter and I was on the bus to school. I had time to listen to it twice. To this day, itā€™s one of my all time favourites and all my friends make fun of me for it. (I may be embarrassing but I commit 100%!)

I actually have a running list of favorite albums that I keep in my phone because usually when somebody asks me what my favorite of anything is, my mind goes completely blank and I forget any media I have ever consumed. This is an easy answer for me though, because I often say that this album imprinted on my little 14 year old soul. In general, I do feel that music from our teenage years sticks with us more than any other time. Probably something to do with where our whole beings are at developmentally. Iā€™m sure someone has already looked into it. This album is such a comfort to me, and feels so much likeā€¦ me. I got to see the 20th anniversary tour of this album and the Postal Service with my sister and you best believe I cried the entire time.

Which meant it was the first time I got to listen to music that only I could hear (a monumental experience for a young teen in a conservative christian family). This also coincided with the emergence of CD burning. As a result, I had so many new artists and genres of music that I could dive into and immerse myself within - it was a beautiful time. A few of the heavy hitters that come to mind are: dashboard confessional, guster, the rocket summer, death cab for cutie, weezer, and phantom planet.

I'm just truly obsessed with gossip! Knowing all the gossip, telling all the gossip...it's so much fun! No one should really ever tell me their secrets because I love gossip too much.

Every other video on my instagram explore/Tik Tok feed is of a monkey riding on a dog's back or a baby pig cuddling with a turtle or like a cat grooming a raccoon. It's wild and beautiful and so pure. I actually save them when I see them because I know I'll want to go back and watch some whenever I'm sad.

Putting stickers on everything (especially puffy stickers) just makes the world a better place. I just ordered like 200 sheets of My Melody puffy stickers (I know it's excessive) but I swear it just makes you a happier, healthier person to have stickers in your life. Any time I send a friend a letterā€¦STICKERSā€¦guitarā€¦STICKERSā€¦notebookā€¦STICKERS!!! Stickers everywhere 4 ever.
