I always forget about it and then remember again and I’m like oh yeah that’s why I’m not normal. You can write this into your journal every day to hold yourself accountable and keep track of your moods. You can look up safe calm place meditation on YouTube but it’s essentially a visualization technique where you imagine a place where you can be safe and totally at ease and the sensory experience of that—mine was a grassy meadow with a stream of running water and cows mooing nearby. The more you build it up and return to it the more powerful it can become when you need it. I really enjoy Tara Brach’s body scan meditations and her felt smile meditation too. These are all for trauma obviously and the TICES log isn’t really relevant, but they could be really helpful for stress too I think because most of them are just basic elements of well being and awareness. I need to get back on this myself in these trying times…

The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown. Its short and active and effective agree with the others for Meditation i do a support group that I find tremendously helpful A big switch came for me when I started changing my thinking from "once i do enough X work or X activities or X skills, then surely i will feel better about myself" towards just trying to be aight with myself right now, accepting that im Good Enough right now. ive been working on all this for years now, and its gotten considerably better! wishing u well! if u ever want to share more feel free to reach out

Bags, that is. I saw this hack online and tried it - bring home a bag of kale or spinch or whathaveyou, take a single paper towel, fold it once and put it in the bag and just leave it in there. I don’t know why or how but it makes it not go bad. It’s probably science, but I prefer to think of it as magic.

I had been struggling with my sleep for months, it started with odd hours and then turned into full on insomnia. Felt like a waking corpse who only existed to suffer. I saw on TikTok girls were doing tart cherry juice before bed, but I’m an insulin conscious girly so I decided to try the extract in pill form instead. This solved my sleep issues in the first night. I don’t wake up groggy after either, which usually happens for me with other sleep aids. I take the Carlyle brand, but usually only take two capsules before bed, and I often take it in combination with valerian root and magnesium and I sleep like a cherub angel all the night.
