punk rock music is so unique to its environment. there’s a need for deep personal expression within the genre, and that’s why it’s usually so extremely relatable. so local punk rock bands always feel so real and personal vs only listening to international bands. It might also be the live experience that adds to this feeling of relatability. go to your local punk rock bands performance at that bar in the city!
one of my local favourites (johannesburg, south africa) is club valley. they‘re kind of a mix of different genres. like a blend of punk rock, alternative, and indie. I love going to their shows.

Slow pulp is one of my favorite bands so I’m a little biased, but i Personally think it’s gives off that 90s movie Protagonist Feel. Very euphoric and lively beat/instrumentals but the lyrics are the epitome of that sorta coming of age and figuring out life vibe.

I need to share this list I made because it is such a blessing to me that I can just open youtube or vimeo and watch these lovely little movies. there’s a range of them like bergman, tarkovsky, polish films, art-house, weird matthew gray gubler short, experimental horror, short films from the 20’s. how fun.
