Ranking things out of three (no half stars, 0 permissible) is a valuable exercise. The limitations force one to reckon with the boundaries of language and the necessity of a respect for nuance. One out of three could be pretty bad..on the other hand, it's still pretty good.
Not everything needs to be compared to similar things all the time. It’s pointless to rank, like, every Ethiopian bar in west philly, because they’re all different and great in their own small ways.
Posting doesn’t necessarily reflect delusions of grandeur about one’s influence. it’s a simple, communicative act. give yourself some credit, trust social instincts. If people had phones at any time in human history- they’d be using them.
