gymnastics in the air, strength, community, drops, occasional terror. you get SO STRONG- like i can do 10 pull-ups now from 1 when I started! vital brooklyn has great teachers & is definitely the most cost effective place in nyc
I take a yoga class every Saturday at a studio in Clinton Hill where the teacher has a ashtanga background and I really like it because its fairly intense and gets me sweating.
Took me a while to settle on a gym in the neighborhood after moving. I started out at Blink which feels like a mistake in hindsight. The equipment at the Y is new (cardio equipment has wireless chargers, which, as a girl with perpetually dead devices, is a major perk) the weight room may be small but it’s manageable imo. Sauna and steam room really sold me. Might start going to the adult ballet classes
