Go into any thrift store and you’ll find hand painted plates that are also portraits and will haunt you to your core. I have a bunch that I use as salad plates for dinner parties. One has a naked woman breastfeeding a child and it is a great conversation starter.
Just grab a few. Preferably thrifted. You would think that you would never use them, until they’re the only dish you reach for. Mother of Junk in Williamsburg has a beautiful collection.
This is more of a brag than a rec and you can all take turns flogging me in the PI.FY town square later but first look at these cute plates I found at a thrift store today! They’re made in France and I looked them up… just ONE plate costs around $50… I got them all for $5!

Yeah, I eat onscreen on Zoom calls. I feel like it not only normalizes the human body and its vast array of needs but also it’s kind of a badass power move. yeah I’m confident. Yeah I need to eat. Yeah you have watch me. 💅🏾
