Want to be confused and also cry?! While the Duolingo owl is extraordinarily passive aggressive and I've deleted my app out of annoyance/shame, the podcast features first-person stories in French that are so amazing -- and they're buffered by English narration for those of us who only understand, like, 6% of the French part.
I like to believe I'm learning by just listening, but either way, the stories themselves are very touching and well worth the time.
Anytime I want to listen to something and actually feel like I've gained some knowledge (*cough* when I'm not in the mood for true crime *cough*) I always go back to "[IN] pertinente" by Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation. What they do is basically a normal and very acessible conversation between 1 expert on a subject (Economy, Politics, Society and Science) and a "regular" person (a communicator from portuguese media). My favorite are the science episodes, but when it comes to Politics they have been touching on some really important matters (iykyk). If you speak portuguese, I would recommend you give it a try :)
Listening to these podcast episodes almost replaces the need for therapy. This pod delves into themes such as symbols, rituals, and the subconscious, aiming to develop a “language with the invisible.” Only drawback is that this podcast is only available on Patron (some of her best eps are free and accessible to everyone, though!).
Ugh, a little ~good vibes only~ , I know, and I realize this is, like, the vegetables of gossip, but I'm so into gushing about how much I love someone to someone else when they aren't there. That's positive energy, baby! RIDE THAT WAVE.
