immersing myself in my local environment, getting to know all the native animals around and taking myself to the sanctuary nearby sometimes has been really helpful for my inner child. as a kid i was the biggest nature lover, and letting myself feel excited about that again has been great.
i also find being as open as possible about how much i love/care about my friends heals that part of my inner child that didn’t really have any. kids don't mess around about telling their friends they love them, why should we?
wearing elf ears n fairy wings on the regular seems to have helped a lot too, not sure why! gives me an excuse to be a little more silly? idk
