a melancholic comedy about a pilot cursed to be pig
of all of miyazaki's anti-war movies, this one is pretty striking, especially given the outward political turmoil going on concurrently at the time of the film's development. it started simply as a lighthearted comedy and became something with such a somber undercurrent
also obviously the flying scenes are great
