Despite how close to the stage you may be sitting. I came to hear the person up there, not you. Shut up.

Something about laughing along with a live audience

I can respect that some people can write funny stuff but at least for me the rehearsed nature of it makes it nearly impossible for me to get any enjoyment out of stand up comedy also just sitting there and hearing people exaggerate their laugh or nobody laughing at all or the comedian calling out someone in the crowd or someone heckling and making everyone hate them just gives to many opportunities for me to be crazy uncomfortable That being said I think Todd glass is funny

I used to feel that comedy needed to be really fast and something always needed to be happening. But recently I’ve been thinking more about stillness and silence. On stage, for instance, I try to find moments to stay as still as possible, so that any time I move, the audience notices it. Being perfectly still and silent (but relaxed) after delivering a joke is very funny: it shows you are committing.

Sometimes it's kinda nice to walk into a room/event/function and think "what the hell is wrong here???"
