THIS IS THE THING!!!!!! been loving this for a while but recently deleted all social apps from my phone so now social time is intentional log in log off time uh huh life is better now
ayanah got rid of spotify so when I listen to music now I really just listen to music. somehow it sounds better than ever. feels like reconnecting with your favorite person after many days apart.
I removed all social media and email from my phone two months ago and now only check it in the morning with coffee.
I’ve enjoyed not feeling tethered or emotionally tied to an app.
Also…this app has given me hope for the future of social apps.
mitra is it still around? I heard it became big in the Phillipines or thereabout

i use pifyi, twitter, and tumblr on my laptop! trying to lower my phone screentime. it just feels worse to be on your phone
im using pifyi on my laptop! it has gotten less slow. i hate my phone excpet for nyt games, would recommend to all

Quit all your apps and shut down your laptop down like you would’ve the family PC is one way to recreate this. Computer time was better when you didn’t have a computer with you all the time.

After a decade of designing social apps 🤢 this is exactly what I do, no apps just desktop. Making an exception for Pi... and vsco.
my bf has no social apps downloaded and instead uses safari to check them like once a week! he doesnt even have the gmail app

the other day before falling asleep i had a vision. a box that you put ur phone in and if u want to open it up u have to listen to that screeching dial up noise for 2 min to access ur phone
