I recently saw a quote that "we're all made of stardust" and it felt so cheesy. My depressed mind wanted to shit on it. But I thought a little further, and technically it's not wrong. The only place iron can be made is in the heart of stars, but it's not energetically favorable to make it. So once all the previous atoms are fused and the only place left to go is to iron, the star begins to die. All iron atoms. The ones bound to your red blood cells, the ones rusting away on your bike. The ones your anemic friend has to take so she doesn't pass out. It's all universal dust and decay in the end.
