Been learning Portuguese since october and today I ordered fully in Portuguese and I even understood how much it cost (numbers are hard when they're said really fast). I love learning
Took my first Portuguese class today after months of Duolingo. It was really scary at first but once you realise everyone in the room is at the same level it feels really good to lock in and stop being scared of making mistakes. Plus I made two new friends already I never would have met otherwise! My brain feels like it's had a really good workout.
if the Spanish language got one thing right, itโs inverted question/exclamation marks. ยกThey are perfect and tell you what to expect from a sentence! I think all languages should adopt them.
I need to take my own adviceโฆ I will often meet people and the lovely things about them stick out to me โ be it their laugh, the way they wear their hair, maybe a particular piece of clothing โ and I really want to compliment them but the words are like peanut butter in my mouth and I canโt spit it out! I mean every now and again I remember a compliment Iโve gotten and am all ๐คญ over it. I need to put that good energy back into the world!!!
