The fancy big one on 59th st with the art deco elevators. It's a great place to pass the time while waiting to meet up with someone. Plus, even though you should get over your fear of hanging out alone and reading in a bar, it feels more natural to do it here.

It’s the perfect spot for a solo dinner, especially if you feel weird sitting alone at a table or you are trying to get used to doing things on your own. There’s usually more going on at/around the bar, so it’s less boring. Sometimes you get to chat a little bit with a kind bartender. It‘s fine to take up space, but you naturally take up a little less at the bar.

I know, I know, I know obvious! But hear me out, there is literally NOTHING better than sitting alone tipsy at one of the huge, round oyster bars with “a book” that acts as a shield of distraction while you eavesdrop on other people. One time I went and I watched three strangers meet, get hammered, and decide to have a threesome lol. Cheers! Everything here is good, but my personal fave is the caviar sandwich and a Campari spritz with olives. And you must (!) take a selfie on the red lips sofa in the bathroom! There’s a huge mirror in there just for that reason.

we don't always need to go full Italian when it comes to noodles at home. Egg noodles with butter, salt and a lot of PEPPER is so damn good. Extremely cheap and easy to make too. cacio e pepe is quaking.

Yeah it would be great to trail run with your dog. But guess what. If your dog can trail run, that probably means it NEEDS to, EVERYDAY, otherwise it will TERRORIZE you. Be real with yourself. You want a sentient stuffed animal. Get a dumb little puff ball dog, you won't regret it. They've been bred for centuries to be the best at Being Cute and Sitting On Your Lap.
