I’m born to be somebody……..then somebody comes from me??????? I’m actually sobbing on the floor. And if you’re not sobbing, that’s something to look into. Furthermore: I love all three of clairo’s albums, but the lyrics on sling connect with me in ways no other album has or probably ever will. Ok, thank you for letting me rant and for reading my millionth post about sling.

This whole song is good but the screaming section for the last minute is so killer, screaming "I won't feel anything/I won't feel anything anymore" with the break down in the background makes me want to run through a brick wall. Saw them open up for Home is Where in Boston and the lead vocalist smashed the mic himself in the head with the mic and was bleeding for most of the set, so intense

i value repetition & loudness (volume & atmosphere) for my meltdown music . both of these songs (by julian casablancas & the voidz + sufjan stevens) have almost meditative flows that you can tap into especially when listening loud & on repeat , building until they are all encompassing . the heavy distorted riff in sadness & the mantra of i want to be well (i‘m not fucking around!) have been steady accompaniments to many of my meltdowns , spiritual & otherwise . tbt to scream/crying i want to be well in the car on calgary highways 🤘🥲
