i love to get drunk and rant about how pop music is the universal magnet, how storytelling through music saves lives, how the teens need music more than anything, how escapism is a powerful and necessary tool at times, how being able to see yourself in someone else’s narrative can be wildly healing, how dancing your heart out at a show can literally cure depression, how music creates community and it’s beautiful, how an arena of girls and their moms and their friends can all sing the same words together in unison and it‘s one of the closest things we have to real magic in this life. i love pop music. also rock. also rnb. also all of it. i love music so much
