my friends showed me some sad country songs on our drive back from Whistler
in absence of romantic heartbreak, I am begging weeping and longing for friendships, family, getting older, random observations in nature now
off the top of my head —
1. alone again (naturally) by gilbert o’sullivan. this one is obvious it’s super depressing
2. izzat love? by todd rundgren. i associate this song with my mom because todd is her favorite and i learned to love him through her, so it just makes me want to hug my mom
3. our house (demo) by graham nash and joni mitchell. sobbed listening to this on repeat when i was really lonely after i moved out into my first apartment
