i might have a problem, let that be said. however, there's this pub near me that does jam sessions every tuesday. you just put your name in and then get called up w like 4/5 other musical geezers and the jam begins.
let me tell u when they let some of these drummers loose, something in my head is pure set on fire. idk if it's because it's live or just the pints in my system, but i get the overwhelming urge to tell them just how brilliant i think they are, and i cannot nor do i want to fight this urge. cut to unsuspecting man being faced with the crazed look in my eyes as i pour my heart out.

I'm not everywhere so I don’t know what everyone is doing but I don’t get invited to too many jam sessions. I've been Jamming with my gang all year and it gave birth to so many songs I’m releasing and my entire EP. Me and the gang will just jam for hours until 8 in the morning.

im chillin on a friends couch listening to him play the guitar, and i feel so at peace. do i have work in 5 hours? yes. is that my problem right now? not with these sweet (albeit disjointed) riff.

if you start zooming in on a pattern, and the pattern doesn't seem to get more simple as you close in, there's a very good chance you're looking at a fractal shape. my new computer hobby is going on google earth (clean setting - no borders or labels) and zooming into random places to see if i can find these patterns. and they are everywhere. in rivers, mountains, deserts, forests, coastlines and on and on. its genuinely stunning, and a little bit frightening, how the same shapes appear over and over again. the beating heart of iterative processes is plastered all over the globe at every scale. from above, the shape of a forest can look like a leaf, or a neuron, or a blood vessel.
great place to have a zoom is at the bottom of tibet, where theres a sharp cutoff between the icy mountain range and the grassy forests of nepal and bhutan. pic below is of the nile river in southern egypt. happy travels everyone
