see: werner herzog's every man for himself and all against god // david lynch's catching the big fish
i like to imagine that both herzog and lynch are my grandfathers while i listen
note that both of these are available on sp*tify with a premium subscription
Not sure why but seems slept on that David Lynch wrote and reads his own audiobook. There‘s amazing storytelling, wisdom, sound effects and peace to be found by listening to this. Especially if you are living the art life 💯
i recently listened to the audiobook version of this book of his while working on a halloween themed puzzle. he’s narrated it himself and it was a very pleasant experience. i can see myself returning to this as i try to stretch my atrophied creativity and will probably seek out more of his literary work. the way he views things and explains them (or refuses to elaborate) is very inspiring.
i am usually a physical book person but i recently started listening to marina abramovic's memoir via audiobook and her voice narrating it is soooo fucking good
(i did a free trial on https://www.audiobooks.com/ )
a healthy, low carb lunch that doesn't make me tired. so easy to prepare (retrieve spoon, open jar). also raises the question: am i depressed or just too cold to go outside?
