THE ZONE OF INTEREST

saw it last night and i was speechless. i know films like this can feel like homework, because of they are positioned as "important", but nobody makes movies like Jonathan Glazer ("Birth" and "Under The Skin" are incredible) and i do think this film is really important. i felt sick to my stomach and i can't get it out of my head.

my first film – zia anger

huge rec for this new Zia Anger film. saw it this weekend and haven't been able to get it out of my head. odessa young kills it. the cinematography is incredible. i feel like i related way too much. reminds me a lot of Mia Hansen-Løve's Bergman Island, in a low-fi sort of way. the plights of becoming an artist, finding your voice, and breaking the fourth wall in the most epic way. highly rec'd! (on mubi this weekend!)
