creators gotta eat too, and it helps them do that. your five or ten dollars a month does way more good than spending it on a Netflix subscription. the ad based internet economy is dying; you need to pay for things you like or they will not survive.

Ok guys I gotta be honest. I'm all for supporting creatives and rightfully paying people for the art that they create, but sometimes I wanna watch a 30 year old movie and I don't wanna pay the 19-whatever-the-fuck Netflix is taxing.
Take my advice. Get Brave. It's like google chrome on steroids. Go to a site like Brocoflix (i kid you not lmao) and let your heart run wild. Brave's adblocker is insane. Gone are the days of closing 30 porn pop-ups just to watch Sonic. It's game-changing

I'd NEVER pay for a algo-driven, ad-saturated social network...so even if it's purely symbolic in the long run, I just upgraded to demonstrate with my wallet that there is a market for this cool community.

I am on my brother’s premium subscription and every month he sends me a text that reads “YouTube tax”
As much as I don’t want to spare him the $6, it is so worth it to have no ads. Very delightful, highly recommend.
