Smartphones today are TOO connected. I don’t want to be reached all of the time by a million apps.
Give me an email app I have to manually update, games with no ads, and apps that cannot track everything I do on my device.

this app, not really an app, has actually been around for something like 149 years and it is fantastic
I've been down the searching for the perfect messaging app rabbit hole more times and for more hours than I care to confess. I got the people in my life on Google Hangouts. Then dragged them to Whatsapp. Then convinced them to move over to Signal. I realize that I was looking for something that an app couldn't satisfy: a healthier/better way of communicating.
Lately I've just been loving having phone calls with people. Or Facetime or zoom convos. It's real and dynamic.
What's some of what you are looking for?
